What digital learning tools are you looking for?

digital-classroom.co.uk is a growing collection of digital educational tools. The platform lists learning and communication systems, apps, tools and much more to bring digital education to the class- and livingrooms – letting you filter them according to your needs.

You are able to browse different categories: From Kindergarten & Preschool to Elementary and Secondary Education. From there, various filter such as subject, price, interaction mode, and more can be applied.

Our story

digital-classroom is a sub-project of the German non-profit organization Digitale Bildung für Alle e.V. (“Digital Education for everyone”) and the successor of our project homeschooling-corona.com.

Initially, at the beginning of COVID19, we launched the website homeschooling-corona.com – an immediate help for all students, parents, and teachers, who suddenly faced vast challenges of homeschooling.

We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback – by now the website has been clicked over a thousand times – but also by the drive and enthusiasm of the community to jointly build and further develop the platform.

These days, remote teaching and homeschooling are no longer indispensable in our society. The digital education has received a respectable boost over the last years and our initial goal hasn’t changed: We thrive to make digital education as easy and accessible as possible for families, schools, and educators.

Which is why we’ve developed homeschooling-corona.com into digital-classroom.co.uk.

On digital-classroom, you as a parent, student, or teacher can filter digital education offerings according to your individual needs through customized filter possibilities. You’ll find offerings ranging from coding and robotics over math and languages to communication platforms or classroom management tools.

We deliberately launched digital-classroom as a first beta version. Therefore, we are motivated to jointly build, deploy and develop our website into a comprehensive platform sharing knowledge and best practices along the way!

“We have no time to lose when it comes to digital education. Instead of waiting for schools to change, we want to provide practical help with this platform. Ultimately, all the digital offerings already existing are only as good as to the extent they are being used in practice. With digital-classroom, we want to support schools and families to find and use them easily and effectively”

“When I chat with friends about how we envision digital education for our own children someday, I realize two things: First, how much there still needs to be done. Second, how big the predominantly untouched opportunity space of digital education really is. So let’s get started now and turn those opportunities into contemporary educational impact!”

“Digital education not only affects the future of education and media, but already has a clear impact on each and everyone of us. I want to proactively shape this development, promote digital innovation and create strong networks which leverage digital education for a better and responsible tomorrow.”

“Learning in the 21st century can no longer take place without digital education. But this can only ever be as good as the teacher behind it, who is constantly innovating. Therefore, I would like to make my small contribution to make this process as accessible as possible for everyone.”
